One such incident happened in Gopalganj, Bihar, which is not possible for everyone to believe, because the matter itself is like this. Here two people got burnt on one pyre, but the funeral pyre was given to only one person…here there was no compulsion or falling in love with each other, nothing like that…it is a different matter.
Suddenly two people riding a bike became victims of an accident near bridge number 10 located at Sasamusa in Gopalganj Kuchaykot police station area. A person riding a bike fell on the pyre burning under the bridge. There was no one around when the bike rider fell on the pyre. When some people standing at a distance noticed, it seemed that there was some movement in the pyre. People wondered what was happening…when they went closer and saw, they could not believe what happened. The people present there hurriedly pulled the other person out of the pyre, but by then he was badly burnt. The burnt person was admitted to Sadar Hospital, but he died. The youth riding the bike is also seriously injured. He has been referred to Gorakhpur.

60-year-old lawyer Prasad, resident of Lalbegi village of Kuchaykot police station area, had gone by bike with his nephew Shivam to Sahebganj in UP to buy medicines for his wife. Family members told that he was returning home after taking medicine for his wife’s heart disease. Meanwhile, Sasmusa had just reached NH 27 near bridge number 10 when the wheel of the bike went into a pothole on the roadside.
Due to the high speed of the bike, Advocate Prasad jumped from the bike and fell straight on the pyre burning under the bridge. Since there was no one around the burning pyre, half of it was burnt. However, when some people noticed it, they somehow pulled them out of the pyre and informed the police. Police immediately reached the spot and admitted Advocate Prasad to Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Injured youth was referred to Gorakhpur
Police station incharge Sunil Kumar said that the body has been taken into custody and post-mortem has been done. The brother-in-law of the deceased, Shivam Kumar, is also seriously injured. After first aid at Sadar Hospital, he was referred to Gorakhpur for better treatment. However, this matter has become a topic of discussion in Gopalganj. People do not even believe that such an incident can happen.
